Morton, Jr. This site is the successor to The Dead Media Site, later called the Sound Recording History Site, both formerly hosted at Rutgers University from 1998-2002 (the link was www.rci.rutgers.edu/~dmorton). You may see some of the logos from the old sites still embedded in the image files. For many years the URL for this site was www.recording-history.org, but was moved to the current url in 2017.
